Joli OS and Linux Games plus applications question

Hey guys

im looking into getting Joli OS, i never had a blackberry or anything to do with apps and im very curious what its like, as i cant afford a new phone, joli os looks awsome since i can do it from my pc

And the fact that i heard it has local files, and synaptic, and all that cool stuff is excellent because it seems i can still do my general linux stuff

But heres the issue, i heard that you need a local operating system ontop of joli os, but im unsure

so like, if i get joli OS, i still want to use my linux apps, like rythmbox, secondlife, nvidia graphics drivers, pulseaudio

secondlife requires alot of the codecs that ubuntu installs on installation when u select add extras, and packages from ubuntu restricted extras, and nvidia drivers

But i have no idea how to set that up, so i thought id come here for advice. on how to go about using jolicloud as an OS and still using all my linux programs

I don't understand this. As far as I know Joli is an OS for older or generic computers. It is linux. It is based on Ubuntu therefor based on Debian. I don't get the phone part?

jolicloud is cromium browser on Lucid Lynx
Right click on the taskbar and remove the applet there. then rightclick there again and choose add. Then add the menu bar applet.
From there it's just like using old ubuntu
