Job Scheduling using cron, got skip for a day and then resumes

I have scheduled a job on 1st Dec using Cron for daily purpose. It runs for the entire month but didn't work on 31st Dec and then again works on 1st Jan and still going on. What could be the problem for not running on 31st day?

You'll need to show us the cron entry if you want any help with this.
