Java Virtual Machine

Hey, I'm trying to get Limewire to work but it says I need to install a Java Virtual Machine.

Upon getting the message, I went to sun.com and got the java runtime environment 2. I *think* I installed it, haha.

Anyways, after the install, I went back to try to run LimeWire.bin. It still says I need to install a virtual machine. Very frustrated I am.

Open un a terminal and cd to where you put Limewire.bin. Now type the following to start Limewire

Code:
PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/bin sh ./LimeWireLinux.bin
Adjust the Java executable path according to where it is on your computer. I'm sure it is somewhere around /usr/java...

Hope that help

You can update the path in /etc/profile so you won't have to type that at the prompt everytime you log in.
