java scheduling script


am newbie and i have problem to write a scheduling script in java, this script should do something in certain time interval... Could anybody help me, maybe give some example or source that maybe useful... I really thnx for any answer...

Spell out your words and write clearly.

And yes, we can help you, but we're not going to write it FOR you. Post what you've written/tried so far, and where you're stuck, and we can assist. Otherwise, there are many Java timer examples you can easily find if you tried to look. First hit in Google:

TB0ne is right in whatever he has said.

On a Unix/Linux Box, we would, however, not need any scheduling script because crontab does it fantastically.

Google on a crontab format it will b e handy.

Example:

crontab -e
That will open your crontab which you can edit/modify. Once again, Google on the fields you need to specify and then see the result by running a mail client such as:

i'm sorry for late reply, thanx for any advice from you all,
i'm just a newbie, and i'm bad in english,,
but i've found my sollution, i use library cron4j to schedule my task on script,

and again, sorry for my bad english
