Hi,
I want to install Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 in a Red Hat ES, version 3, but when the application ask if we want to install the java that the application has, it marks an error, that the java isin't supported, where can I get the rigth version for the application.
Hope you can help me, thanks a lot!
I'am installing Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 on Red Hat Linux ES version 3, the problem is when we get to this:
Configuring Java Support
While other JREs are supported, the use of JRE is strongly recommended.
Choose option 1 to use the bundled JRE.
1. Use the bundled JRE .
2. Specify the path to an existing JRE.
3. Disable Java support.
if I choose option 1, this error appears:
Error: Unsupported JRE version detected ().
Press Enter to input another path.
if I choose #2 it tells me where is the bin of the java, this appears:
Enter the path to your JRE (type none to return to previous menu)
: [/usr/java]
Error: Unable to locate java binary in JRE path /usr/java.
Confirm that the 'java' binary is located in:
/usr/java/bin
I can't find the latest version of java, and I call for support at sun.com, and nothing.
hope somebody can help me, thanks a lot
