Java in Firefox

Okay, so I managed to get both Java and Firefox installed successfully. Java IS working, I knwo this because LimeWire is working. But when I go to pages that use Java with Firefox, they don't work. Can someone please tell me how to make it work?

You probably need to put the java plugin in firefox's, plugins folder.

But hey im a noob I could be wrong, but thats how I got flash to work.
