java in 64 bit fedora 8

can somebody please tell me how to install java runtime in 64 bit fedora 8? i tried installing the 64 bit rpm from Sun Microsystem's official website, but java applets are still not opening.

hi.. thanks for the link.. I got lots of useful information from it but my problem is still not solved.. i did everything as instructed for installing java runtime, but it is still not working?

can you please direct me to instructions for 64 bit? nothing is mentioned in the website.
