Java 5.0 SDK installation, location and environment

I'm attempting to install Scrumworks (www.danube.com/scrumworks)on my fedora (kernel-2.6.18-1.2798.fc6). It's a free scrum utility. It requires that I have java 5.0 SDK and set the environment $JAVA_HOME to it. Do I need to install java 5.0 SDK? Can I use GNU java? If anyone out there has tried this i would appreciate your insight.

Yes I have on ubuntu, I would need to know your opperaring sys to awnser that, but in terms of setting that path at a terminal just type:

JAVA_HOME=/path/to/cheese

I'm using Fedoracore 6. So you've installed it using GNU java? If that is the case tell me how!! My understanding is that it is designed to only work work with sun java...I'm sure there are hacks. If its a few tweeks i'm game. I just wanted to avoid going through the trouble of that extra step.
