I'm new all new to this and been googling and youtubing for days now...
Me and my father in law would like to test our wifis and security (just for fun and because I've become interested in security).
I am a newbie to computering and linux especially, so please bare with me.
At the moment I'm running Kali (also Ubuntu) on VM Virtualbox based on windows 10. I have a built in wifi in my Lenovo laptop.
When I type iwconfig in the terminal I keep getting 'no wireless connection', and ofcourse aircrack-ng mon0 gives nothing but 'no such file or directory'.
This is not a matter of life and death, but I would really like to learn this.
Virtualbox guest can only see the adapter types in your settings (ex. host only adapter, bridged networking), and yes, it cannot see the actual adapters on your host machine (Windows 10). Your best bet is to install Kali on your HD or dual boot it with your Windows 10.
