iTunes installation help on my acer aspire

Hi guys

I managed to (after, TWO hours!:redface:) get PlayOnLinux onto my machine.

I even managed to find iTunes on it.

But I'm having problems installing it so I can use it.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to set or what richedit20.dll and richedit32.dll means!

Has anyone got any step by step for people below dummies that they can direct me to???!

Thanks :mad:

Click the install button, browse to Multimedia then select itunes and click install. iTunes will be auto downloaded, then follow the prompts to install it. This will take a few minutes. I didn't get prompted for those files - can you post up the actual error messages please.

I was under the impression that once you had PlayOnLinux dowloaded and you wanted a programme you still had to put in further commands. That's where I came up with those codes - I searched online and people were saying that is how you install it once you've downloaded it onto PlayOnLinux.

I did what you said, but I still can't open the software.

The most I can do is open it with "mousepad" and this is what comes up:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=iTunes 7
GenericName=Game
Comment=PlayOnLinux
Type=Application
Exec=/usr/share/playonlinux/playonlinux --run "iTunes 7"
Icon=/home/user/.PlayOnLinux/icones/playonlinux.png
Categories=PlayOnLinux;
Name[fr_FR]=iTunes 7
Terminal=true

I'm not sure where I go from there as it's on my menu as if I can use it. I can't even put a run command in (I've been trying "iTunes 7" but it's having none of it!).

Is any of that familiar to you?

:confused:
