Question iTunes instalation Fails

Thanks for responding to a very new person
I have Linux 12.04 installed and wine runs when I down load, the wizard works and tells me it has finished, then I get a partial iPod window, mostly blank and the message to reinstall the program because of a failure. Any help would be greatly apreciated. In post script today I download Eagle which is an electonic circuit and PCB designer program 100% operational. Could it be an apple factor with iTunes? This the latest version of iTunes.

You have Ubuntu 12.04 installed, Linux is the kernel Ubuntu is a distribution that uses the Linux kernel but Ubuntu is not Linux.

Have you checked the WINE website? and more specifically the app database for iTunes? Apparently the latest version is "garbage", meaning it wont work in WINE.
