Istalling Fedora - dualboot problem
 

I am attempting to install fedra core3 as a dual boot with windows XP using 2 SATA hard drives. I get window with "Loading sata_sil driver... Disabling IRQ '11. This last part is in black box butnothing happens and I have to shut down. Any suggestions please.

If you can get hold of it, try Fedora Core 5. Fedora 3 is no longer supported and doesn't get many updates. It also incorporates more recent drivers, which means you may well not have the problem you describe with it.

Thanks Gethyn. I thought I had already sent my thanks, but I must have pressed the wrong button. I eventually downloaded Core 5 and it went in straight away. But I cannot boot into Fedora. I have just installed beta version of Microsoft Office 2007. Do you think this could be trhe reason why the Linux boot floppy will not work?
