Unhappy Issues With NTFS


i was about to buy red hat linux 9 on amazon, but one of the reviews sad linux doesnt support NTFS format.

is there a way tosolve this with something such as a driver

RedHat doesn't support it out of the box, however, you can READ from it using the driver available from the Linux NTFS page, head over to google.com/linux and search for:
Linux NTFS

And it should be around the 1st or 2nd link

If you are feeling really dareing, you could compile the latest kernel and get write access to.

or do what i did, and install windows on a FAT32 partiton

as mentioned above, you can install drivers to READ from ntfs drives.

You can download drivers from here:
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/redhat9.html

And there are installation and download instructions here:
