Issue with Gnome 2.2 - missing menu panel and cannot add it again.
 

I first started using Mandrake 9.1 about 6 months ago. I have deleted the menu panel (the one that originally came installed and enabled by default).

The problem I have is that now I cannot add any panel to the system! I have a single edge panel which I cannot use to recreate any other panels, nor can I resize it or do anything useful with it.

Is there something I should take a look at (config files starting with ".") to fix this issue, or is it ok for me to delete my user account and try to recreate it?

have you tried rigth click over the panel and then add new panel?
