is webmin on RH8?
 
i heard it was on disk 3 but I did not see it. does it get installed as a part of a package?

found webmin and installed rpm.
https:/xxname:10000 returns a blank page, is there something else I need to do?

You need to run it: 'service webmin status'. It'll tell you if it's running. If not: 'service webmin start'. Then try to connect again: https://xxname:10000

I started it thru Service Configuration, it even stopped it and restarted it.
same results. is there something else that needs to be setup and running 1st?

netstat -l
and look if you can see it there.
