Is Ubuntu best platform for Dell D800 laptop?

Hi,

I may have the opportunity to receive a few Dell D800 laptops that have been "wiped." I know they are Linux compatible, but was wondering if anyone could tell me if Ubuntu would work best? I have never done a Linux install yet... but am VERY excited!

Thanks!

If they're completely linux compatible then technically none will work any better than another. Ubuntu will probably be the most user-friendly distro you could pick, though.

Yeah, you could really pick any to be honest. I'd go with Fedora or Ubuntu. I like Fedora myself since it's very close to redhat.
