Hi
Shortly after I started using Ubuntu I deinstalled evolution, because, well I didn't use it anyway. Deinstalling in this case means I deleted every package that had evolution in it's name and wouldn't drag the whole gnome desktop after it. By now I realize that that was probably not the best idea.
Well, I wanted to reinstall it, because another program requires it.
But I got an error message that evolution depends on Evolution-common, which wouldn't be installed. "roughly translated from German". When I wanted to install evolution-common I was told that it was already the newest version.
I realize that I probably got something messed up. But is there any way to get evolution reinstalled?
regards, Guenni
Hallo
@repo: I used the package manager.
The problem solved itself, more or less. I hadn't removed evolution-commons. I assumed it was because it wanted to drag half of the desktop after it. But this time there weren't any other packages mentioned during the confirmation message. So I removed it. Afterwards I could install evolution just fine. *shrugs*
Thanks anyway, Guenni
Hi
Either I'm just not getting it, or you can't reach the thread tools without a mouse.
If the latter is the case, than I can't. Since I'm blind and a screen reader user: I can't really use the rodent.
