Not generic linux video, but Puppy has some nice beginner videos:
Welcome to Puppy Linux Video Tutorials!

Some short free videos: | Your first Linux experiment ( training videos)
This group of three short videos shows you how to download GNU/Linux, make a bootable Linux CD, and how to boot Linux on your computer without going through a tedious installation routine. We used Ubuntu for this demonstration, but the steps shown apply to all live CD Linux distributions.
"Updating and installing software in Ubuntu ( training videos)"

Takes a little searching through all the commercial sites but there are a actual free video sites if you take the time to look for them.

ALso try searching and google video.

A nice site with a long list of linux courses both free and commercial is:
Online Linux & UNIX Training Courses, Free Linux Training and HOWTOs

At this site you can request and post video tutorials
the catch is the videos must be made using an app called Screenkast. Screenkast has a built in tab for directly uploading to the site.

Not strictly linux

A handfull here
These are made using pyvnc2swf, a set of tools written in python. The easiest and most reliable way to make screen captures imo.
