Is there any installation difference in rhel5 WS and rhel4 WS


hello,

Is there any difference in rehl5 WS and rhel4 Ws ON INSTALLATION?

Yes. You have to have an installation key for Red Hat 5 which you can get off your Red Hat Network account.

Or just download CentOS 5...

... and have an OS that is binary-equivalent to RHEL5 without having to pay for it. Of course, you won't get the RH logos and splash screen.

You'll also have to use yum for package updates in place of up2date.

Ya... given the price of licensing I've found myself recommending CentOS5 in place of RHEL5 at least for development environments a couple times recently... and leaving the expensive RHEL5 licenses for just QA and production environments.
