That's what I wanted to do as a temporary solution, but with a 160G usb portable hard drive I already have.
Well, that's more than enough room, never mind...

Yes I can boot a CD. I just haven't had a chance to try the above suggestions. Not sure I know enough yet to remaster a live cd.
