is there a way i can install ubuntu on my laptop without reformatting my harddrive?


Is there a way I can install ubuntu 7.10 without reformatting my harddrive so i can dual boot with windows media center and if there is a way can someone show me step by step i would be apperciated i'm a noobie with linux.Thanks
