Is there a recommended list of RPM repositaries that can be used with YUM?

Is there a list of recommended websites with updated rpms for less commonly used software like phpbb, clamav, havp, etc?

Thanks !

If you are using fedora core, then you use the yum.conf suggested in www.fedorafaq.org

For others, you need to check the distro faq. There will be official repos for distributions which have yum bundled.

Some app maintainers provide yum and/or apt support too - check their faq etc. Usually they make a bit of a thing about it.

Whatever you do, first go look in the menue on the right, called "My LQ" >>>--->
Click on "Edit Profile" and scroll through and set your distribution type and some sort of (informative) location.

TTFN.

The default CentOS/RHEL repositaries do not come with phpbb, havp and some other less common software. As a side note, my google search shows quite a few updated phpbb (2.0.19) rpm packages for PLD distro at http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat...ses_Interfaces. Are those packages compatible with CentOS/RHEL? Can I download those rpm package and install onto CentOS with 'yum localinstall packagename'?

Thanks !
