is there a free emulator windows to linux


I need to run a windows program in linux is there anything that really works and is free??

Wine is used to run Windows applications on top of Linux, and QEMU can be used to run Windows in an emulator on Linux.

Wine would certainly be easier to use, but QEMU would have better compatibility (since applications would really be running on Windows, just Windows running inside of Linux). Wine would also be faster than emulating Windows under QEMU.

try using virtual machines...
eg VMware or other virtual machine software.

virtual machine(VM) allows you to run one os in other os. So u could actally run window within linux. For VM u need good amt of RAM(around 1GB) and gd processor speed(1.6GHz min).
