Is there a ccleaner for ubuntu 11.10

My question is is there a ccleaner for ubuntu 11.10 besides BleachBit? If not how else can I get rid of cookies and other usless files?
Thank you

None of those programs are necessary to remove cookies(and honestly that ccleaner is only good to make a mess in your system, several of my clients used to have that and those used to be the most problematic machines).
Now if you are using Ubuntu you also are using Firefox go in the menu Edit and then Preferences then Privacy, under History> Firefox will> set it to: Use Custom settings for history.
Once you set the that button Show Cookies will be available, there is possible to remove them.

Thank you,
what about the pieces of files that are no longer in use, either because they were erased or removed, do I like on windows have to worry about broken files slowing down my system?
Thank you

I think in Ubuntu you can do something like sudo apt-get clean

There is a simple way to clean Ubuntu, and any other Debian based system actually, and that is shown in this thread. Read it before yo do anything and take careful note of any warnings.

Let us know how you go.

Thank you the instructions were great.
My system is clean now, there was a lot less stuff than I thought there was going to be.
Thank you
