Is the wireless card on my laptop going bad?

Both on windows and on linux I have to reset the connection by turning on and off my wireless to get the internet working. It's not a once-in-awhile thing, its like every 5 minutes.
Every other wifi capable device in my house, and room, has no trouble connection and keeping a connection.

Ethernet connections works as it should, time for a new laptop maybe?

Stuff does break. How old is the laptop?

You might try booting into a Live CD of something, connecting to the wireless, and leaving it sit for a while to see whether the problem recurs. If it happens under a Live CD, it might well be a hardware problem.
