Unhappy is the linux os for every phone or a selected few


I see a range of different phones but am wondering if the Linux Ubuntu is for all phone types course i have HP which uses windows mobile and am not that happy with is speed so i would like to try Ubuntu if that possible

ubuntu is not for any phones. If you're referring to the recent press release, it concerns android handsets and tablets that use docking stations and convert the device into an small PC like environment, not a telephony one.. ubuntu is NOT a phone OS.

is there any Linux OS that is for mobile phones which is like windows mobile

Android or Maemo are linux-based OSs.

i want to know if they can be used on every phone like my HP phone or for a few

If that's possible, it won't be easy. HP uses their own webOS.

What's the exact model of your phone.

Face it dude, you need a better phone!

I suggest going droid next. There are some nice options. If you opt for cheap, remember you get what you pay for.
