System Error 07-19-2006 09:43 PM

Is the Linux GUI on by default?

I need to know if the Linux GUI is "on" by default for the following distributions...
  • Arch
  • CentOS
  • Debian
  • Gentoo
  • Mandriva
  • Red Hat

Thanks for the help!

For all those except Mandriva & Fedora (RedHat) It's "on" if you install it, "off" if you don't. I don't know if Mandriva & Fedora have an option to install without the GUI or not ... I doubt it. But even if it's there, you don't have to use it.

Thanks again for the help! :)

Gentoo has nothing on by default. You build your system all by yourself :)
