Yes, the source is. Unless you want to compile it yourself, use centos. It's very much identical to RHEL.

Also, I wouldn't post your e-mail. These forum pages are open for the world to see (including bots that want to send you spam).

Red Hat provides several distributions, and for some of them you have to buy support. They prepare updates and ship them out to you automagically, and you pay for this service.

And, I hasten to say, it's probably well worth paying for. The cost is nominal, the service is quite good, and it's definitely very nice to have someone else doing the (very considerable...) work of preparing and testing all those distribution files, packaging them up and so-forth.
