is my MoBo supported?
 
im using an Asus A7V266-E mobo. i was just on the SuSE site and i couldn't see a listing for my MoBo. so im wondering if it's even supported

In general, most hardware is OS-neutral. What can sometimes be an issue is with Linux support for the onboard functions (sound, LAN, etc).

If you ask me though, if you've already got the board, the best way to find out if it's compatible is to just try to install Linux on it and see how it goes. On the other hand, if you planning on purchasing a new mobo, then the LQ HCL is a great resource for research. Good luck with it -- J.W.

Also when you boot in linux it should say ALI ___ or whatever . And does the kernels agpgart load ?
