Is my kernel "too new" to get kernel source?

I've installed Fedora Core 2 and have updated just about everything with apt-get and fooling around with yum. I also updated the kernel to version: 2.6.6-1.435.2.3

I need to get the kernel source for a number of things (graphics card, wireles, etc.). When I try to grab the kernel-source file using apt-get and yum, they both want to give me kernel-source 2.6.5-1.358.i386

Is this because my kernel is too new? Can I use the kernel-source that apt and yum are offering without problems? Please advise. Many thanks!

Things do get changed between the versions, so if you use the 2.6.5 source, and the 2.6.6 .config, you will not get a 2.6.6 kernel.

I took a quick look at the Fedora server... For some reason, the package is now called "kernel-sourcecode". Yum that one, and you should be good to go.
