Canonical recommends the 32 bit versions for a few simple reasons:
1. There are still people with 32 bit PCs out there and since Ubuntu is aimed at newbies this is a way to make sure that they download a version that runs on any PC.
2. There is some exotic and older hardware that has no 64 bit drivers.

Other than that there is no reason to prefer a 32 bit version over a 64 bit version on a somewhat recent PC.

hmm so except that, there is no reason for not installing it on my 64bit intel i386 PC eh?

But the 32 bit still wont create problems installing it on a 32 bit pc wright?

(If not answered i consider the answer is positive)

Thank you very much

The 32 bit version will run fine on your PC, but will not use its potential to the fully extent.
