is it possible to mount an NFTS filesystem

I need to know if it is possible to mount an NTFS file system under linux. I know it's possible to mount a fat32 fs but the mount command doesn't support NTFS. do I have to reinstall windows (XP) on a fat32 fs???

the short answer is yes.

it is possible to mount an ntfs filesystem, just go to the forums index and do a search on the subject to get a better idea of how it is done.

this all depends on your distro and kernel version, however.

you should also know that it is dangerous to mount an ntfs partition with write support, most people only mount ntfs as read-only.
