Is it possible to install LINUX in a computer with Intel DG33 mother board?

If possible which version?

if not possible then the reason?

A quick google revealed it's a regular mobo for intel core cpu's.

It's not the mobo which should worry you. It's the chipset that governs it, that seems to be g33/ich9, which seems to be well supported on later kernels using the "Intel ESB, ICH, PIIX3, PIIX4 PATA/SATA support".
