Is it ok to turn system logging off?


Is it ok to turn off system logs on a personal desktop machine? Like all the garbage in /var/log

Sure, if you don't care about what's going on, whether
there were attempts to hack the box, problems with hardware,
drivers not loading ... just turn logging off. Much like disabling
the fuel-gauge and the temperature gauge in the car. Unnecessary
stuff that distracts the driver.
