Question Is it allowed to use full path to "*.desktop" files in the "mimeapps.list"?

I don't know if it is possible to use full path to *.desktop files in mimeapps.list

I have a script that can generate output that can be used in mimeapps.list but I don't know if it is good idea to use full path or allowed only basic *.desktop names. Script scans many directories and searching content in *.desktop files.

The output that I want to use:

After some tests I found out that it doesn't support full path


desktop, full, list, mimetypes, path
