Is guarddog a firewall?
I am a linux fresh user whom has abandoned windows a couple of weeks. I am a debian user of the distro called kurumin ( a brazilian one). Thus, I've heard it's not only a linux firewall. My question is the following: Is it possible to use it together with another firewall? Do I have to take it off by using " sudo apt-get remove" ? I'd appreciate your clues. IMHO this the best linux firewall. Is that right? If I use together with another firewall may conflict with the other one? Best Regards.

All the "linux firewalls" (with the exception of nufw and a
few custom commercial apps) are merely frontends for the
linux netfilter (iptables), which is part of the kernel.

How much sense it makes to use several to do firewalling ...
I can't answer, I've never tried. Sounds silly to me, though.
It's like using two or three mail-programs against the same
mail-file at the same time - chances are one will screw things
up for another.
