IPTABLES question

Ok, I'm installing IPTABLES. I ran the command:

make KERNEL_DIR=/usr/src/(kerneldir)
So, it did alot of junk, and then came up with:

#Error including kernel in header in userspace: use the glibc headers instead!

And another message. What do I do?

Are you building your own kernel?

Which distro are you running - FC, Suse, Mandrake?

If it is a distro then iptables should already be installed or at least easy to install through the various installer guis?

Otherwise, please disregard....
