iptables not found


iam using linux slackaware 9.0.... and i use ipchain in my firewall
some say ipchain is an old method of firewalling and suggested to switch to iptables...the problem is went i type iptables in command prompt it doesnt recognize and went i go to /sbin there is no iptables only ipchain pls help me to install iptables to upgrade my server thks in advance

is it in the /etc/sysconfig folder?
i dont' know if its the same on slack.

nope sorry no etc/sysconfig in slackware

Using pkgtool remove ipchains and install iptables. I think once you bring up pkgtool it will be apparent how to procceed, but basically mount up your slack install CD and use the packages from it.
