Question IPC


if we create a fork for a process..how does it communicate with the main process?? deos the main(parent) process and child process also use IPC??
if they use IPC thn wat type of IPC they use???

Question address space

im just tryin to create a chid process..but i want to where does the address space of the child process be?? will it be sharing the address space of parent process or will it be having seperate address space???

Until you do an exec() call it has all the same address space as before the fork.

After exec() call , if child process or parent process modifies some data in shared address space copy-on-write will take place.
