iostat help.no disk stats

Hello All
I have installed sysstat on my linux cluster. When I use iostat I see only the first part of the report for the CPU and I don't see anything at all for all the disk devices.
Most of my disks are either lvm or nfs mounted volumes.
Would I expect iostat to report disk stats on these devices?
Also sar only reports stats for the CPU..
How do I get sysstat to report disk stats as well!
Thanks for any and all help!
Sincerely
Dan
