interrupt in userspace code

Hi,

Is it true that user space program is not able to receive hardware interrupt(such as GPIO input interrupt)? I know how to set up GPIO interrupt and ISR in kernel space, and i am trying to do the similar thing in user space.

Thanks,
Wei Xu

Basically true. Take an interrupt routine for example. Two different processes in user space may use the same addresses, since all user processes run in their own address space. So what address would it call?

Thank you for your reply. However, could you provide more details about the point you made "Two different processes in user space may use the same addresses, since all user processes run in their own address space. So what address would it call?"?
I am a newbie and easy to get confused by something appear to be obvious.

Thanks,
Wei Xu
