Internet won't work at home (RH9)
A very weird problem with my Red Hat 9 on my laptop.

The internet works (plug & play) at my friend's place, a pppoe connection with DLink router.
The internet also works in my school, a lab with public internet connection access.
The internet, however, does NOT work at my own home no matter how hard I try. Sometimes ethernet won't activate with indetermined ip msgs, sometimes it activates but returns like 90% data loss when pinging my router...

I am almost certain that it's not caused by the Red Hat distro itself since it works in a lot of other places.
My router at home is DLink DI-704P configured for DHCP, I tried played around with router settings, with no luck...

Anyone having similar problems before or having a solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance!

It's most likely the router or the cable.
Check the cable first, that's pretty easy.
If cable is ok and router config is ok my guess is you have to replace it.
