internet with linux
 
How do i connect my linx desktop to bradband internet. I have both windows xp and opensuse v11.0 on my work station. I am using net thru win xp .

Are you using linux on a virtual machine? If so, what VM are you using?

are you dual-booting?

If so, all you need to do is boot into linux and set the IP address ( may be dynamic or static, check your router ) subnet mask and default gateway ( should be the router address, say 192.168.0.1 and add in your DNS servers ( get them from your isp, or may be in your router config )

If youre running a GUI such as gnome, these settings will be under 'system' -> 'administration'
