Internet using a USB Cable Modem???

I have a Scientific Atlanta Webstar Cable Modem - DXP100, and it works on USB as well as LAN. But I need to use it on USB under Linux. I have RedHat 9 installed, and it detects it somehow, but it tells me that it's an unknown device.

How can I make acces the internet using this configuration?

Thank You.
