Internet Security?

I installed Suse 9.3 about a week ago and after finally getting it up to the point where I can say good bye to windows, I've noticed something about the internet. Whenever I go to a website where I have to log in (email, forums, etc.), as soon as I type my password and hit enter it says incorrect password.
One site I try to log into says its either my cookies or my security settings are too high. So I turned on the cookies but I cant find where to change the security settings.
The only thing that makes me think it has nothing to do with the security settings is that this happens with all the browsers I've tried (Firefox, Konqueror, and Mozilla?-the one that looks very similar to Netscape.)

I've tried searching google and this website but have found nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? or anyone know how to fix it?

I haven't had this problem. The only explanation I can think of is that your keyboard layout settings are off, and when you think you're typing a 7, for example, you're actually typing a &. I don't know.

have you gone into Edit > Preferences > Advanced and enabled TLS 1.0 and SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 ? (Firefox)

Java support is enabled? Are you inside a network with a firewall? Im not familiar with suse, but I think you can go to the Yast and search for anything related with a firewall or connection.

Whoa!
OK. Step asides, ladies and germs, this am gonna be sumpin'. Why not tell the lad (or lassie) the terrible truth? HEY! Guess what? Your electricity is coming in backwards, causing the monitor to display erroneous dataglobs and neferious innuendos - cataclysmic horrors all. To correct this problem, simply turn your building around 180 degrees, or move to Cincinnatti.

Ta-ta.
