Internet radio

I am new to linux. I would love to know how to listen to the radio on linux. I have tried several things and can not get anthing to work. I just want to listen to talk radio.

If you have an FM/AM tuner card, with an antenna, that's one way. Otherwise, you have to find a website that broadcasts over IP. It will tell you what kind of client you need, and you can look up the linux clone on google. Get the client, or, usually you can just go to the website and tune in by clicking a link.

I occasionally listen to net radio using Beep Media Player. Either it or XMMS will easily do this and are both Winamp Classic clones.

Try googling '"talk radio" mp3 streaming'

I use "Streamtuner" to listen to radio over the web.

Post a link to the site you are habing problems with. Chances are you just don't have the right codecs installed.
