Internet quit, on Ubuntu what do I check to fix it


Internet quit, on Ubuntu what do I check to fix it. This is on someone els computer I also need to know how to get pass his password

you need to provide a *lot* more useful information to us if you want real help... you've not said anythign about what "quit" even means, what the local internet transport is, or anythign useful about this connection or applications failing on it. can you ping anything for example?

no, when I tried to run Mozilla it came up can't find server

as well being this is on someone els computer how do I set up a new Administrator password to get this fix
