Internet Problem "server could not be reached"

Hi,
I have been reading forums after forums to fix few problems in my server. all the problem started from when I decided to buy a better server. I needed to use my hard drive cause I wanted to use all my softwares.(linux CenOS 3.8 (kernel 2.4.21)

so I put the hard drive into the new server, at the boot it prompt me to configure the network cards ( which is the onboard intel S500SVA), after the configuration the server freezed while it was bringing up the eth0. So I disabled the eth0 and worked with eth1 which worked fine.

but the problem is that it can not reach anything outsie of my network, "the server couldn't be reached".
in the beginning I thought the problem might have came from the DNS setting in resolv.conf, but it wasn't from there.
I can see my website from an outside computer.

Dig , nslookup, host , ping to ouside of my network won't work.

I wanted to recompile or install the driver for motherboard but errors after error.

Please help out.
Regards
Piraj

Can you ping your router? Did you ever get the eth thing situated, is the website you are talking about hosted on this machine? What are your routes, what is your gateway? Poke around under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.
