Internet/modem config in SUSE 8.2 LE

I can't get my modem to work in SUSE 8.2 Live Eval, it's a generic Webstar cable modem that comcast gave me, it attatches via USB 1.1. Knoppix finds it just fine. SLE also seems to have some issues with my monitor.

Anybody help?

Thanks,

AJ

About the monitor :
Yast >>> Hardware >>> Graphic Card

Take your manual from the monitor and check the settings.

Can't be of much help with the modem, I have an Ethernet cable modem.
I'have tried a lot of usb devices but in general they work good.

I presume you have the usb plugged at start.
Is it in recognized in the log file ?
