Internet Download Manager - Peppermint 05


I'm completely new to Linux, i'm using Peppermint 05. Please bare with me. I would like use IDM Internet Download Manager.Can anyone advise me how i go from downloading IDM to using?

It appears that's a Windows-only application. You would not be able to run that natively on a linux system.

Might I suggest a free alternative, that would run fine on your new installation? I've been using a Firefox addon called DownThemAll! for many years and it's been very stable--and free, to boot.

As this is a browser addon, it's not OS-dependent; so long as you have Firefox installed you could install this addon to it and use it as your download manager instead.
